Local Blacklist is the brainchild of several service providers who continuously co-miserated about dealing with bad customers. So much so, they finally decided to take action.

One business owner recalled a time when he took a customer to small claims court over a $5,000 bill and discovered that he wasn't the only one who got stung. Other service providers on the same job were looking to collect, too.

He thought, "It would've been really nice to know about this person before I went into this!" And thus, Local Blacklist was born.

Our website allows contractors, tradespeople and service providers to read bad reviews of past clients, so they can avoid them altogether. Reviews are based on submissions that business owners have submitted after having gone through a bad experience. The only thing we aim to do is warn people, so they don't have to learn the hard way.
